II Jornada Internacional de Poesia Visual: Do corpo do signo ao cyber céu

Based on the developments of the I Jornada held in 2021, this II Jornada Internacional de Poesia Visual: Do corpo do signo ao cyber céu, intends to continue the path of investigation and in-depth analysis of ideas, processes, matrices, characters , history and poetic practices.

In the history of visual poetry we can list many examples of language innovation that have acted on the structures, porosities, implosion, explosion or economy of the language itself, but also through its connection with the media and different codes and different technologies.

This edition starts from the observation, in poetic production, of the body of the sign and of the verbovocovisuality, to conquer, in the era of the algorithm, the multi, inter, trans:media, thus broadening the scope of the discussions to the possibilities offered by the practices experimental in general: the idea of a poetry of language that subverts traditional understandings of poetic practice.

The official languages of the event are: Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian, in line with the multilingualism and internationalism that accompany this poetic practice.

The event will have a hybrid format, with most of the programming online, with the participation of numerous scholars and artists from all over the world including, from Italy: Giovanni Fontana, Enzo Minarelli and Patrizio Peterlini.
